1. Infographic/poster
The first task you need to do is to create a poster or infographic highlighting the biological, behavioural, psychological and social elements of health and illness.
The infographic is 4 marks. To have the infographic approved, you need to have a minimum of 3 marks out of 4.
To get full marks your poster needs to mention each of the Biopsychosocial elements of health and illness.
These 4 elements are:
- Biological factors
- Behavioural factors
- Psychological factors
- Social factors

2. Educational Handout
When creating your handout please choose at least 2 of the following conditions and explain they both relate and how they can affect someones lifestyle.
- Hypertension
- Obesity
- Cardiorespiratory disease
- Stress
You are more than welcome to ask your tutor about using a different condition if it relates to your client case study.
Within your poster handout make sure to include these elements about your chosen condition.
- Cause/s
- Progression
- Associated risk factors
- Clinical signs and symptoms
- Impact on clients lifestyle
- Benefits of exercise (with regards to the condition)
- Exercise guidelines (including risks of exercise, contraindications and restrictions.

There is a total of 12 marks in this section
To obtain full marks please refer to the guidance below.
- Clearly identifies the medical condition (1 mark)
- Identify the cause of the cause of the medical condition (1 mark)
- Identify the progression of the medical condition (1 mark)
- Identify any risk facts of the medical condition (1 mark)
- Describe the clinical signs and symptoms of the medical condition (1 mark)
- Describe the impact on the clients lifestyle of the medical condition (1 mark)
- Describe the contraindications of exercise for the medical condition (1 mark)
- Describe any exercise restrictions restrictions for the medical condition (1 mark)
- Outline nutritional guidelines for the medical condition (1 mark)
